Yes, it can. It can make you feel "like" you are stoned.
In my religion, I learned that when you get stoned, you open your chacras to spirituality, and you can do the same with meditating which is the most correct way.
Last year, my daughter was trying certain things, you know, smoking pot, and she told me the sensation was like being in love with the world, she Yoga could even see the aura of her friends and the energy from the Nature... We had a talk with the president of my religion and she told my daughter that she could get the same experience with meditation, and she could get that peace and love sensation, because my daughter's heart is full of peace and love, but it's not the same with everybody, some people, when stoned, bring their aggressiveness or their melancholy out.
The problem with the drugs of any sort is that you are induced to the highest feelings and connection with spirits, it is like a shortcut, but you also are killing cells in you body, and killing cells in your body, although it seems like no big deal, is also a form of suicide. Besides, we can never know what kind of spirits we will be linked to when using drugs.
Peace!
Edit: don't forget our primarily goal here is to live in this world without being attached to it, being more spiritual than material, and any kind of addiction is opposite to that concept.
Peace!
